Fence Act Update

The Associated Press is reporting that the "highly touted"
virtual fence is being scrapped--just months after Homeland
Security Secretary Michael Chertoff green-lighted it!
According to reports the system simply wasn't doing its
job alerting border agents to illegal crossings.
With this announcement, I'm certain members of Congress
are perplexed--shocked that the virtual fencing didn't work.
They are likely looking for answers... answers that we've had
all along, "Build the Fence as Promised!"
With news of the virtual fence's failure, I'm asking you
to step up and join with Grassfire team members who have
already flooded Congressional offices with more than
12,000 faxes demanding support for H.R. 4987, and the
reinstatement of the original fence mandate!

In earlier updates, you learned how DHS was constructing substandard
fencing that included not only the failed $20 million virtual fence,
but also single-layered chain-link and picket fencing to keep out
illegal aliens, gang members, drug dealers and terrorists!
Given the fact that we were promised a double-layered fence,
it's time to increase our pressure on the House and demand
Congress to build the fence as promised.
It is up to us to impress on our elected officials to go on record
in their support of constructing a double layered fence by
co-sponsoring H.R. 4987.
